Remelle Farrar
Business Manager
Remelle Farrar has worked with rural communities, families, and businesses since 1978. She began working in Canadian in 1989, and, in 1997, she accepted the newly created position of Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Corporation, and Hemphill County Industrial Corporation, serving in those roles through 2008. Remelle has extensive success helping individuals, their businesses, and their rural communities with opportunities that support and sustain their way of life, how they do business, and that maintain their deep Texas heritage.
Endlessly curious and always determined, Remelle enjoys researching and understanding the details and complexity of rural life. She has continuously focused her skills and crafted solutions that preserve the past success and build opportunities for future generations. The years when Remelle was away from Canadian, she served as a Commissioner of the Texas Department of Rural Affairs, a member the Governor’s Small Business Council, and directed studies about the survival of rural life for the Western Governors Association.
Remelle oversees office management but also engages with the community regarding how the firm can provide essential services to the businesses, ranches, and families that are fighting every day to build for our next generation. The firm truly cares about the locals, their success, and seeing them happy, and it has no better person than Remelle to be involved with our communities. She is excited to support John’s commitment of building onto his family’s legacy in Hemphill and Roberts Counties. She brings her wealth of experience and love for this community so that she can continue to provide essential services to the businesses, ranches and families that are fighting every day to build for our next generation.
